Located in a sheltered area of Portsmouth Harbour with easy access by road and water, Trafalgar Shipyard is the leading commercial shipyard in the Solent.
Based on the former Vosper Thorneycroft site, the Shipyard offers full maintenance, repair and refit services for commercial vessels, ferries and superyachts and is the newest addition to the Premier Marinas portfolio alongside Trafalgar Wharf.
History and maritime heritage
Trafalgar Wharf has a long-standing history of marine employment working to retain the maritime heritage of Portsmouth Harbour. With a direct and monitored approach from Portsmouth Naval Dockyard to Trafalgar Shipyard, a number of Royal Naval vessels have been hosted and worked on by the highly trained team onsite.

Trafalgar Shipyard offers a comprehensive range of maintenance, repair and refit services. Boasting a Pearlson Syncrolift, set-up to lift commercial vessels up to 877 tonnes and 60m in length and hard standing cradles available onsite for refit projects, the Shipyard can provides all-round access for cleaning, maintenance and painting.
Trafalgar Shipyard is proud to have established relationships with local commercial companies including Wightlink and Gosport Ferries, Williams Shipping, IME Group and the Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.
