As a leading marina operator, Premier Marinas is passionate about sustainability and the environment.
Our aim is to create sustainable waterside environments in which both people and wildlife can thrive. Managing our marinas in an environmentally conscious way makes them more sustainable, saves money and helps to preserve the world’s resources for future generations. As well as minimising our environmental impact, we aim to inspire the users of our sites to do the same.

Our carbon footprint
Our carbon footprint has steadily decreased since 2014. We are on a journey to become Greenhouse Gas (GHG) free by 2030 and carbon zero by 2050, but we’re continually striving to improve on both our sustainability performance and our goals.
Leading on marina sustainability
We aim to set the industry standard and have been working hard in this area for many years. Back in 2018 Premier Marinas became certified to ISO 14001:2005, an international standard for environmental management. In 2021 we were joint winners of the Southampton Boat Show Exhibitor Sustainability Award. In 2022 we achieved a Bronze medal rating from EcoVadis - the world's most trusted business sustainability rating. This was followed by a Silver EcoVadis medal in 2023.
Environmental partnerships
We embrace industry initiatives to share best practice. We’re active supporters of The Green Blue, an environmental awareness programme created by the Royal Yachting Association, British Marine and the Environment Agency, which promotes environmental excellence. We also support The Yacht Harbour Association’s ‘Clean Marina’ initiative, to help marinas get the basics right.
