Premier Marinas welcomes registered non-tenant contractors to our sites, but we do require all contractors to be registered and approved online before starting any work.
This registration must be undertaken for every contractor entering a Premier Marinas site, if you are a company this is necessary for each employee.
We have created a range of video guides here.
Required documents
You will need to submit the following documents with your application:
- A copy of your Public Liability insurance (minimum cover five million pounds)
- A copy of your risk assessment and method statement for the proposed work (see guidance here and example templates here).
- A copy of your Gas Safe registration (where appropriate).
Please click here for a full guide to using and registering on our contractor portal by SafeWorks.
Registering as a contractor
Before your first visit, please pre-register your company as a SafeWorks contractor. Once approved, you need to register each employee intending to access the site. There is a small one-off registration fee per employee, who will then be provided with a personal Contractor Access Card. Thereafter, a small daily charge is payable per employee for each day working on the site.
Working at our marinas
Registered offsite contractors must comply with our Marina Regulations and Boatyard Terms. Please ensure that you and your representatives have read them. Each day a worker intends to access a Premier Marinas site, they are required to check in via the SafeWorks portal. A daily charge per person will apply to access all Premier Marinas sites.
