Whether it’s the Fastnet Race, Cowes Week, a round the world race, a shorthanded or fully-crewed event, you’ll find all the facilities and supporting services you need in a great location.
Endeavour Quay sits just 500 metres from the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour and minutes from the heart of the Solent. The boatyard’s pontoons and lifting dock enjoy deep water access at all states of the tide.
Steeped in history, the yard’s origins date back to the early years of yacht racing. Numerous J-Class yachts were built here, including Endeavour, from which the modern yard takes its name. Famous visitors include a host of modern racing yachts such as Open 60s like Hugo Boss, Maxi racing yacht Rambler and Volvo Ocean Race teams.
Race preparation, refits or emergency repairs
The boatyard at Endeavour Quay provides a 24-hour lifting service for yachts up to 40 metres long, with an impressive 90 metres of deep water waiting pontoons and no restriction on air-draft. Equipment includes a 180-tonne boat hoist, a 40-tonne mobile crane and a 50-tonne boat mover.
Storage ashore
There is an impressive amount of storage ashore, with three undercover boat sheds capable of housing yachts up to 40 metres long and expansive hard-standing storage outside. You will find a comprehensive range of marine services on hand, or you are welcome to bring in your own contractors. There’s also space for containers and other team equipment.
Offices and local facilities
A wide range of project offices and meeting rooms are available on site, for long term or short term hire. Close to the town of Gosport and just minutes away from the prestigious Gunwharf Quays via the regular ferry service, there’s easy access to leisure facilities, quality crew houses and hotels.
