That’s a wrap on the Southampton International Boat Show 2024! We want to thank all of you that were able to visit our show stand on our dedicated Gosport Marina day and throughout the 10 days of the show. It was a pleasure to welcome nearly 4000 guests to the stand and we hope you found your visit both enjoyable and informative.
Managing parking onsite
Following feedback from our NPS survey, our new 'HUB' system has now been installed to provide a reliable and secure solution for you and your guests whilst visiting the marina and allow us to better manage parking onsite.
As a berth holder, you can continue to park at the marina for free whilst visiting your boat and can manage your two vehicle registrations in your MyPremier online account or via the Premier App.
Major maintenance and upgrade projects
It's all go at Gosport as work has now begun on a number of major investment projects across the site, including an upgrade of the electricity infrastructure and installation of additional technology to bring the new premium Club Wifi solution.
Works have also begun on the demolition and rebuild of the STS Defence building and we will also be looking at installing temporary dedicated berth holder facilities for the summer season. Dredging has also now begun between K and I pontoons.
Yacht Care Plus – support Carl’s charity ride!
Our onsite tenant Carl Selwood from Yacht Care Plus recently took on a big adventure for an incredible cause, close to his heart. Last month Carl rode from Winchester to Eastbourne, the South Downs Way – covering over 100 miles with an overall climb of 12000ft. The ride was to raise funds and awareness for the Multiple System Atrophy Trust in honour of his life-long friend Greg currently battling this neuro-degenerative brain disease. James Ketchell sets off from Gosport Marina
Last month, adventurer James Ketchell began his planned record-breaking attempt to solo circumnavigation of the globe, starting here at Gosport Marina. James will be tackling a remarkable 30,000 nautical mile journey aboard his Class 40 yacht, "Mindset", of which Premier Marinas are proudly sponsoring.
Celebrating apprenticeship achievements
We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of four incredible employees who have successfully graduated from the Marina and Boatyard Apprenticeship in collaboration with South Devon College! A huge congratulations to Albi Paris, Ava Cousins, Lewis Jones and Will Kilpatrick.
An extra special shout out to Ava, who was shortlisted as a finalist for British Marine Apprentice of the Year and given the opportunity to meet HRH The Princess Royal during the Southampton Boat Show, celebrating young talent within the marine industry.
