That’s a wrap on the Southampton International Boat Show 2024! We want to thank all of you that were able to visit our show stand on our dedicated Chichester Marina day and throughout the 10 days of the show. It was a pleasure to welcome nearly 4000 guests to the stand and we hope you found your visit both enjoyable and informative.
We are delighted to introduce two new faces to the Chichester team.
We welcome Matthew Simpson as a Marina and Boatyard Operative, having recently moved back to the area following a few years spent in Scotland.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys baking, dog walking and going to the gym.
Our new Duty Manager, Andy Cloarec brings with him a wealth of knowledge from the watersports and marine industry, alongside experience in the world of facilities management, further enhancing his expertise in diverse operational environments.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending quality time with his family and being on the water, reflecting his passion for marine activities. An avid traveller, Andy has set foot on every continent, with Antarctica and Brazil being among his favourite destinations.
Investing in your marina
We have recently invested over half a million pounds in two new hoists in each of our boatyards. The hoists are remote controlled and feature a jib crane attachment to allow for work on masts to resume and provide us with extra capacity to help lift more boats this winter.
Our team has also been busy keeping on top of the landscaping across the marina including introducing extra planters to add some more colour - we would love to see your top photography of the site shared in our Facebook community group!
Over the summer we invested in improving the operations of our lock during the busier periods to reduce your cycle and wait times and we appreciate all your positive feedback so far.

Formerly Boat Shop, the company rebrand and extended unit space now offers an even wider service, whether you're looking to buy or sell your next boat, a cover for your vessel, apparel for your adventures or convenience goods. Celebrating apprenticeship achievements
We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of four incredible employees who have successfully graduated from the Marina and Boatyard Apprenticeship in collaboration with South Devon College! A huge congratulations to Albi Paris, Ava Cousins, Lewis Jones and Will Kilpatrick.
An extra special shout out to Ava, who was shortlisted as a finalist for British Marine Apprentice of the Year and given the opportunity to meet HRH The Princess Royal during the Southampton Boat Show, celebrating young talent within the marine industry.
James Ketchell sets off from Gosport Marina
Last month, adventurer James Ketchell began his planned record-breaking attempt to solo circumnavigation of the globe, starting at our very own Gosport Marina. James will be tackling a remarkable 30,000 nautical mile journey aboard his Class 40 yacht, "Mindset", of which Premier Marinas are proudly sponsoring.
