Southsea workboat gets some TLC

Not a lot of people realise that our launch is our hardest working bit of kit. Not only do we use it to move most boats to the dock for lifting and returning them to their berth, but we also use it to move boats to and from the holding pontoon.

This month it is going to Port Solent Marina for a refit in the capable hands of Premier tenant Compass Marine.

The launch will then return to Southsea where onsite tenants 1 Degree West Marine will overhaul the engine, give it a good clean and service and paint.

They’ll also remove the rudder and shaft to replace the seal and fit a new engine panel plate, buzzer and alarm module.

We expect she’ll look brand new when complete!
