We are pleased to announce several important development projects taking place at Gosport Marina over the coming months.
Annual dredging operations
We will begin essential dredging operations on Wednesday 16th October, subject to weather conditions, to maintain optimal water depth for safe navigation. This year will see dredging between K and I pontoons and we will advise if and when your specific berth will be affected.
Electricity and Wi-Fi upgrades
We have now started a large-scale project to upgrade the electricity infrastructure at Gosport Marina, bringing you the latest technology for your self-serve, pre-pay marina electricity supply. The works will result in some periods of disruption, and we will advise you when your specific berth will be affected.
During these works, we will also be installing additional technology to enable us to install the new premium Club Wifi solution as the next phase of the project.
Limited boat storage
Due to ongoing works at STS Defence, we will have reduced availability for onshore boat storage over the winter. If you require storage ashore, please contact us at the earliest convenience so we can review your storage needs, including options at our neighbouring marinas, Port Solent and Southsea.
New berth holder facilities
Understandably we have been asked questions about our plans for Gosport including planning permission that was previously granted for new berth holder facilities and restaurant building on the site of the existing Boathouse. These plans have had to be reconsidered in the light of the significant delay in securing written consent, and the subsequent increases in building costs.
We are however pleased to advise that we will be installing new berth holder facilities on site which will be open ahead of next summer.
These individual shower rooms and toilets will be similar in design to those installed at Universal Marina last summer (as pictured) and will be located centrally on the site for the exclusive use of our berth holders.
