Chichester Yacht Club is based within Chichester Marina and is widely used by our berth holders, offering a great sense of community a short walk from the reception building. We sat down to talk to Guy Boyd, a Premier berth holder, about his membership at Chichester Yacht Club.

Why did you join Chichester Yacht Club?

“The club has helped me build friendships with fellow sailors and is also a great place to pick up tips and advice. The confidence gained through these connections inspires me to try new things with my boat, both in company and on my own.”

Is there a calendar of events and activities?

“Yes, the club offers an extensive program throughout the year, both on and off the water. The clubhouse is easily accessible from our berths, and it provides the perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal or a drink, and take in the breathtaking views from the garden.

"Many club members participate in dinghy races, and you can also watch your children or grandchildren learn to sail in the sheltered Chichester Lake. Our rowing program is open to all members, and there are excellent launch facilities for other watersports.”

How do Premier berth holders find out more?

“I greatly enjoy being a part of CYC and highly recommend that other berth holders explore the benefits of membership to enhance their boating experience. Book your spot for a complimentary drink and an opportunity to meet fellow boat owners and club members at our berth holders' reception on Saturday 12th April at 3pm.

"To book in, please contact the club at office@cyc.co.uk or call 01243 512918. If you're unable to attend on this date, feel free to contact the office to arrange a visit to the club at a time that's convenient for you.”
