Fuel at Port Solent Marina
Port Solent has its own serviced fuel pontoon close to the lock and the marina’s reception. It sells marine diesel and unleaded petrol.
The fuel pontoon is open every day between 08:00-18:00hrs in the summer and 09:00-17:00hrs in the winter. Petrol availability and opening times are governed by the Harbour Master. Replacement gas cylinders are also available on the fuel pontoon. For out-of-hours service, berth holders can contact the marina reception via the help point.
Berth holder fuel discount
Premier berth holders benefit from a fuel discount as part of the Premier Advantage. This discount allows the purchase of your required fuel type at any of Premier's marinas at the price it costs us to buy and dispense it.
How to use the fuel pontoon
The fuel pontoon is open every day between 08:00-18:00hrs in the summer and 09:00-17:00hrs in the winter.
To buy fuel, call the reception on VHF Channel 80 or 02392 210 765 for service before heading for the fuel pontoon. Outside the fuel pontoon’s opening times, operation of the lock takes priority over fuel dispensing services.
Gosport Marina self-service fuel pontoon
Berth holders at Port Solent Marina also have access to the self-service fuel pontoon at Gosport Marina as an extra 'Freedom of Portsmouth Harbour' benefit.
When purchasing fuel at Gosport Marina, your berth holder fuel discount can be applied using a red fuel fob or fuel discount card, which can be acquired at the marina reception.
How to use the self-service fuel pontoon
Watch our helpful video guide or read more details below.
To buy fuel, enter a payment card at the pay point, select the amount of fuel and grade you require and wait for the transaction to be authorised. Then remove the nozzle from the pump and begin dispensing. There is a help point intercom and an emergency stop button on the pontoon.
To apply your berth holder discount, hold your red fuel fob or insert your fuel discount card just below the screen until it beeps. If the fob or card has been accepted, a message will appear in blue, 'Identification card accepted. Your identification card has been accepted'. If the message appears in orange, there’s a fault and you’ll need to try again.
