Join us on Sunday 27th April for a Spring Festival & Beach Clean at Southsea Marina to kickstart the busy boating season ahead.
Beach Clean - 2pm to 3pm
Join our marina team and Neptune's Pirates UK in helping to keep the local area tidy and free from plastic with a community beach clean along Eastney Peninsula.
Meeting at the marina reception for 2pm, a reserve of litter pickers and bin bags will be available to use but we encourage all volunteers to bring their own if possible.
Spring Festival - 10am to 4pm
- British Divers Marine Life Rescue will be offering advice and information about protecting marine wildlife.
- Rebecca Gaines from Neptune's Pirates UK will be explaining about ocean plastics and coastal debris as part of the Captain Paul Watson Foundation initiative.
- The Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust will be explaining about the various habitats of the Solent.
- Sing and dance along to live music from the Portsmouth Environmental Choir from 12pm to 1pm.
- Explore delicious food with a mushroom-based twist from Shroom Southsea.
- Grab a choice of food and drink to enjoy from our onsite restaurants The Marina Bar and Bombay Bay.
