At Premier Marinas we care about setting the highest standards in everything we do. A sense of pride and professionalism combined with a friendly and supportive environment is ingrained in our ethos.
The importance of ‘how things are done’ has been central to Premier’s culture from the very beginning, and this is demonstrated in our management approach. Taking care of the environment, keeping staff and customers safe and creating a great place for people to work is important to us. This is reflected in the recognition we have received from third parties. We also believe in a process of continuous improvement, so while we are proud of our achievements, we are always looking towards the next step.
Award-winning sites
We are proud of all our marinas, and work hard to continually improve our sites with a rolling schedule of investment and upgrades. Many of our sites are worthy recipients of the Yacht Harbour Association’s Five Gold Anchors Award. The Gold Anchor Scheme is a trusted measure of marina excellence. It awards between one and five gold anchors. Five Gold Anchors is the highest accolade, given to marinas with the very best facilities and service.
Health and safety awards
Premier Marinas was first awarded ISO 45001:2018 certification, an international standard for running effective occupational health and safety management systems, back in 2019. This involved a comprehensive 12-month review of Premier’s health and safety management system, including audits at Premier’s Head Office and all 10 marinas to ensure uniformity of working practices.
ISO environmental accreditation
Premier was awarded ISO 14001 Environmental Certification in 2018, affirming the group’s dedication to improving its environmental performance. Fairly common accreditations in other industries, Premier was the first marina group to obtain these quality standards. In 2023 we received ISO 14064, which includes the reporting and verification of our Greenhouse Gas emissions.
EcoVadis certification
In 2022, Premier achieved Bronze certification from EcoVadis – the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. This was followed by Silver accreditation in 2023. As with our approach in other areas, we see this as just the start, and we are continuing to work towards achieving gold level certification. Find out more about our environmental commitments.
Investors in People
Alongside its ISO certifications, Premier also holds the standard Investors in People accreditation for staff training and development. Premier Marinas sees the Investors in People award as central to delivering the company’s growth and the success of staff members. We believe our staff happiness and job satisfaction is key to delivering the best service, and developing, training and valuing our team is vital in everything we do.
